This position is responsible for providing quality Respiratory Care for patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Employees may be required to cover shifts at any of the Cone Health acute care hospitals.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:
1) Manages invasive/non-invasive ventilators
2) Performs routine therapy modalities
3) Processes blood gases
4) Performs advanced therapy modalities
5) Completes required documentation.
6) Monitors and maintains department supply levels/equipment

Responds appropriately to emergency situations (Cone Health Codes) and demonstrates knowledge of how to respond.

Protects all confidential information and obeys all HIPAA regulations.

Attends at least 75% of departmental staff meetings.
Completes all departmentally required education, competencies, and/or proficiencies.
Demonstrates compliance with Attendance Policy.
Experience working in an acute care setting or completed acute care clinical rotations.
Preferred: Experience in managing critical care patients.

12 hour nights, every third weekend
