The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing quality customer services to all patients, patients family members, visitors, physicians and co-workers. He or she obtains demographic, insurance and medical information from all patients and/or family members. Accurately enters appropriate patient information into the information systems of The Outer Banks Hospital, for appropriate registration and/or admission of all patient types.
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred. A minimum 1-2 years experience in a health care environment required. Excellent computer skills. Medical terminology preferred.
