The Occupational Therapist is responsible for provision of occupational therapy within the regulations of the NC Board of Occupational Therapy to include patient evaluation, administration/supervision of treatments, teaching, documentation of services in the patients medical record, appropriate communication/conduct.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Documents accurately, objectively and timely in accordance with regulations and agency policy /procedures. Documentation includes but is not limited to assessment, treatment plan, provision of care and services, discharge summary, certifications and billing.
B. Provides supervision to assistants and unlicensed staff according to practice guidelines.
C. Provides OT services to include evaluation, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning and patient and family education within regulation and according to physician orders.
D. Participates in weekend rotation and coverage in other departments as necessary.
E. Participates in program development and on task teams as requested by Clinical Manager.
F. Supervises at least 1 student a year and/or serves as mentor for new employees.
G. Follows departmental and agency policy and procedure.
H. Meets individual productivity standards
- OT license
- 1 year experience in a rehab setting
