Provides administrative support to Vice President Nursing and Nursing Units. Responsibilities include dictation and/or recording of meeting minutes; maintaining electronic calendar through Microsoft Outlook; arranging meetings; organizing work flow; designing reports; writing correspondence; and developing proposals and other types of power presentations as requested. Provides clerical support as unit secretary for the nursing units at Grace and Valdese Hospitals as requested. Performs physician order entry, scheduling patient appointments, medical record management and receptionist duties when assigned to a nursing unit.
Education: Associate Degree in Business Administration or similar field
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative support role; prefer healthcare experience as a unit secretary or department assistant
Computer SKills: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point - must be able to analyze data Excel using pivot tables and graphs; requires ability to desire power point presentations; must be proficient in Word to utilize advance functions such as tables, graphs, mail merge, document templates, etc. Must be comfortable typing minutes from recorded meetings and attending meetings when requested with a laptop for recording minutes.
