Job Description

The Business Office Specialist is responsible for obtaining demographic, insurance and financial information from the patient either by phone or in person; assist all physician offices/or patients in scheduling tests; responsible for verification and precertification of the insurance to insure financial viability; assists patients with financial arrangements following the credit department guidelines; and assists with answering of all phones

EXPERIENCE: Two years of previous medical office or office experience

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent

LICENSE: N/A

Qualifications

Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task; good written and verbal communication skills; attention for detail; strong organizational skills; must believe in a team concept and be a team player

TESTING: Math 85%; Customer Service 85%; Data Entry Alpha/Numeric, 5500kph
