Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.
Assists staff with par leveling and orders for Central Services. Counts inventory in selected areas in CS on a scheduled basis and reorders supplies as needed. Receives supplies and enters receiving data; receives goods from hospital receiving department and verifies correct items received by comparing paperwork; delivers received goods to proper areas of CS; enters receipt CS Information System.
Assists in making cycle counts of selected inventory areas in CS and enter results. Maintains all files relative to CS.
Material functions. Files CS copies of purchase requests and internal product request, Capital Requests, PO's, Contracts and reports.
Assists in preparing reports: works with Management in gathering data in producing reports such as cost analysis, product usage, etc.
Assists with reviewing Reports: reviews and analyzes reports in conjunction with the systems coordinator and implements steps to assure accuracy of such.
Works with CS Director/Manager to maintain/develop budget as well as assure appropriate ordering of supplies/instruments and correct inventory discrepancies.
Provide assistance to sales representative with equipment, supply and instrument issues, changes and purchases.
Maintain the instrument repair budget. Arrange service for instrument repairs and equipment.
Assist with recall of supplies, instrument and equipment.
Assist with Emergency Event Cart purchases house wide. Maintain and update supplies semi-annual and keep inventory.
High School or equivalent
3 - 4 years experience as a CS Tech, Stock Clerk, Materials Clerk (preferably in Healthcare) is required.
1 full time vacancy, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
$10.60 - $16.96
