Greets, registers/checks-in patients upon arrival in a courteous and respectful manner per the continuous process review. Institutes billing procedures. Collects appropriate fees from patients for services rendered. Communicates daily with patients, staff and the public presenting a cheerful appropriate customer service attitude at all times as evidenced by receipt of no valid complaints. Responsible for first line of telephone triage functions per Department policies. Performs a variety of clerical duties including filing, mailing, logging, copying, retrieving, faxing and operating standard equipment. Consistently strives to offer explanations, respond to inquiries and needs, provide directions and initiate empathetic interpersonal skills in relationships with others as evidenced by receipt of no valid complaints. Consistently demonstrates complete understanding of PAD and PAS policies and procedures in all situations with ability to apply same to all functions within CIS. Maintains a professional personal appearance and attitude while following BH policies and procedures illustrating both initiative and reliability while performing duties. Supports managed cared. High School Diploma or experience equivalent to that generally received by obtaining a High School Diploma. More than 6 months of experience - completed grade 40 accountabilities successfully. Complete all grade 40 job requirements accurately and consistently. Ability to register patients with accuracy 90-100% within 6-8 minutes per patient. Answers telephone requests-calls within accepted departmental time frames. Consistently and accurately performs the Stockamp process with 95% accuracy as evident through the census bridge edit report and number of occurrences documented. Ability to create new, follow-up, and walk-in appointments. Knowledgeable regarding registration rules and guidelines. Performs check-in function with 95% accuracy within 6-8 minutes per patient. Ability to collect, document and reconcile co-payments with 100% accuracy. Participates on interdepartmental teams as requested/required. Initiation of financial counseling on the identification of the insurer or lack thereof. Proficient in canceling-rescheduling of patient appointments. Performs reminder calls. Exceeds service excellence criteria. Assist new staff modeling procedures when assigned buddy system approach. Registers new patients without creating a duplicate medical record with 100% accuracy.
Position located in Greenfield MA. 20 hours. Schedule and days (M-F) allows some flexibility. Will consider Practice Associate I.
