The Rehabilitation Hospital CNA delivers care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, according to their scope of practice, to a defined group of patients, to include adolescents aged 12 and above, adults and geriatric patients.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
A. Observes assigned patients routinely during their shift to meet personal care needs of patients and perform nursing activities delegated by the RN or LPN.
B. Works under the direction of and communicates with the RN or LPN team leader during the shift to receive and report pertinent information about the patient.
C. Communicates clearly and considerately to promote productive inter and intradepartmental relationships.
D. Documents on flow sheets according to department policy and procedure.
E. Shows good organization of time and work by completing assignments fully by the end of their shift.
Required Qualifications:
- NC CNA Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous clinical experience
