Recruiting for a Medical Technologist I (MT I) in the Specimen Processing/Rapid Procedures area of the Clinical Microbiology/Immunology Laboratory. The MT I is responsible for diagnostic testing, performance of quality control and technical troubleshooting in the work area. Test procedures range from specimen processing to moderately and highly complex technical procedures. Hours are 9pm - 7am, Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus holiday rotations.
Requires:
BS degree in medical technology (MT) or clinical laboratory science (CLS), ASCP, NCA or Canadian registry as a MT or eligible for registration with registration required within one-year of the hire date; OR
BA/BS degree in chemistry or a biological science and successful completion of an accredited NAACLS program, ASCP, NCA or Canadian registry as a MT or eligible for registration with registration required within one-year of the hire date.
An applicant who isnt MT (ASCP or NCA) registered at the time of the interview must sign a letter stating, if they are hired, they will obtain MT (ASCP or NCA) registration within one-year of hire date.
