Provides pre operative, intra operative, and post operative safe and comprehensive anesthesia care to patients during surgical procedures, pain relief, airway management, obstetrics, cardioversions, x ray procedures, and emergency room treatment. Administers anesthetic agent and adjunctive therapeutics, monitors physiological responses and takes corrective action to maintain or stabilize patient's condition and provide resuscitative care. Provides anesthesia related technical support to non surgical patients to include but not limited to starting IV's, intubation, invasive monitoring and lumbar puncture. Normal working hours are 0700 to 1530 Monday through Friday with one CRNA available 24 hours on call for emergencies. C.R.N.A.'s report administratively to the Chief C.R.N.A. and clinically to the medical director.
Minimum Education: Graduate of an American Association of Nurse Anesthetists approved program of Anesthesia for Nurses
Licences/Certification: Registered nurse with license to practice in the State of North Carolina. Certified, or eligible for certification, by the Council on Certification. Current recertification by the Council on Recertification.
