Job Description

The IS Project Manager is responsible for managing the IS projects as defined by Information Systems Management.. Responsibilities include:

Accomplishing IS project objectives within defined constraints

Planning, controlling and monitoring, managing and directing assigned project resources to best meet project objectives

Control and monitor project scope, time, cost and quality of IS projects

Accountable for project outcome (success or failure)

Ensuring that the business community is engaged in the project

Collect metrics data, such as baseline project plans, costs, schedule, work in progress, and work complete

Reports on project progress and performance to plan

Promotes a positive and professional image of the Information Systems Department and of FirstHealth of the Carolinas

Four-year degree in Management of Information Systems or Business Administration with a concentration in Management of Information Systems or Engineering is required. With a Professional or Associate certification in project management is preferred. NC Drivers license required. At least four years' experience in a project management or supervisory capacity required. A strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, database and operating systems, and office productivity tools is required. Previous experience in Information Systems in the Healthcare industry is preferred.
