The Clinical Supervisor is a part of the Nursing Administration of the hospital and functions in a staff position rather than a line position. He/she is responsible for the development and maintenance of clinical expertise of the staff. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a resource to the Manager and relieves the Manager in his/her absence. He/she works in a staff nurse position 50% of the time on assigned days, weekends and holidays. Off tour shifts will be scheduled to meet the unit needs. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the development and utilization of standards and protocols, and for the provision of continuing education/in-service programs.
Minimum Education: Graduate of approved School of Nursing.
Minimum Experience: Experience preferred but not required
Licenses/Certification: Current RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
Skills: Demonstrates knowledge of current nursing and patient care practices and ability to apply these concepts. Demonstrates excellent customer services kills.
