To perform diversified duties in Cardiac Cath Laband/or EP Lab assisting the cardiologist in all aspects of invasive cardiology including: preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. Also perform diversified duties in Electrophysiology Lab assisting the cardiologist in all aspects of EP studies and ablations. Other responsibilities include assisting cardiologist with cardiac rhythm management device implantation. Cath Lab responsibilities also include Cath Lab Call Team coverage.
Qualifications: Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred. Registry or certification in an Allied Health field such as Cardiovascular Technology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, or Certificate of completion from approved CVT program. RCIS and/or RCES preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required. Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families for positive results and outcomes.
